Huck Fairman was born in Manhattan and spent his early childhood there. After graduating from Middlebury College, he worked in VISTA for two years before turning to a career in the film business in New York. In the film world, he was involved in all phases of documentary and dramatic production, but focused on script writing and directing. He wrote a number of original screenplays, including “Refuge,” which he also directed, and which aired on public television’s American Playhouse Series and other outlets in the U.S. and abroad.Hymn is one of 3 novels he has set in NY.  He is currently working on a fifth novel.
